I can’t get the immigration documents that are ready for us, so I asked Peter to talk to Hannah at the University about what we should do. She’s marvelous, and she came back with a great answer…go to the police station in Bra at 8:30 in the morning on Friday, and ask the immigration people to give me our papers. I love Hannah!
I also paid some bills through the bank. Banker Luca is so helpful, as is Laura, and I think I could do it myself next time. I also paid for our tickets in Rome for the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, Colosseum, and the Roman Forum. It was good to get those tasks accomplished.
We're getting ready for Heidi and Brenda to come tomorrow. Luca called, and he came by with the man who has agreed to paint the apartment. They looked around for a while, then they decided that he would paint all the surface that was to be painted white this Saturday (che bella!). Then, he will come back next week one day (che bella again!) and put the colored paint where it belongs. As my mother would say, “We’ll see if any of this happens!” I didn’t complain that he may come when we have company. We’ll take him whenever he will come.
Peter cooked a wonderful meal for us of pasta with sausage and a little tomato sauce. He shopped for the rest of the week, too, so we’ll have good food while the girls are here. He's such a great provider!
