Freedom Farmers Market Report 071214
Colleen Morich and Carol McIntosh
Saturday's exhibit at the Freedom Farmers Market near
the Jimmy Carter Center in Atlanta went very well, with 300 visitors attending.
There was a lot of interest in the Lexicon of Sustainability images and people
asking questions. A special visitor who came by was Chef Terry Koval, now from the Wrecking Bar, whose picture was in Douglas Gayeton's new book Local.
One couple was asking about local examples being represented,
and fortunately Peter had let me hold Douglas Gayeton’s book Local
at that time, so I was able to show them. They seemed very appreciative of the
information and the Lexicon fan, so that they could remember to go look at the
website and get even more information! Another young lady, Kenan, was very
interested, as she has a blog about eating healthier and about painting. She
has been trying to find a way to incorporate her two passions. Also, Atlanta
Eats came by and interviewed Peter for a TV video that will show in the fall. It
was an exciting day at the Freedom Farmers Market!
