Making a great fence
The fence makers came early in the morning on Thursday, and
we were ready for them. Both boys screeched with joy when they saw the jack
hammer come out of the truck. They love all sorts of machines, but they had to
hold their ears when the jack- hammer was being used.
The fence was made of redwood, and the design was made to
let us see through it without letting animals or people we didn’t know come
inside without our permission. Next they are going to add an electric opener
that will make it much easier to open and close the gate of the fence.
By Friday noon, the fence was completed, and most of the
neighbors had stopped by to tell us how lovely they thought the fence was. The
neighbors were all very friendly, and it was nice for me to get to meet them.
Our first party
Saturday night, Big Casey, Cati’s childhood friend and
neighbor…as opposed to little Casey, Harldur’s friend from preschool…and his
wife Lavonna, and their friends and Cati’s neighbors Francisco and Mary, came
over to see their new house and have supper. It was a delightful time, and I felt
very privileged to join them. A good time was had by all!
