Italy Journal

Tuesday was full of fun. After my Italian class with
Sara…always helpful and a delight…Sara came back to my house to practice
interview skills for a job interview she was having. It was good to have Liz
listening from the kitchen. She had some good suggestions. Fortunately, I had
found a great website that gave suggested interview questions with English
answers, so I gave that website to Sara, too. She told me later that she found
it really helpful. She did well on her interview, but is not sure she will take
the job if it’s offered…”We’ll see!”
This (from Switzerland…pronounced “tees”) was waiting for us
at Banca del Vino to give us a great tour of the facility. The Bank of wine was
full of donated wine from vineyards all over Italy. Some of it was given to
store indefinitely. The rest was given for people to taste while they were
there. We had a great time, and This was the perfect guide! You are the best,
This! Thank you so much.
The day just kept getting better and better. Jess, one of Peter’s
classmates, and 7 more friends (including Dan, who was visiting from the
States) came over in the evening for a blind wine tasting event. Dan and Jess
are from the Northwestern U.S., so all the tasting wines were pinot noir. Peter
made another of his marvelous meals, and as the meal progressed, another wine
was brought out for tasting. Then, anybody who wanted to graded each wine on
their form. We had lots of laughs, and the whole group had a great time.
Thanks, Jess, for including us in your blind wine tasting event.
