DINNER AT BIANCA AND
NORA’S
We’ve been trying ever since they moved in next door to find
a time when Peter and I could join them for supper. Finally, it worked out
perfectly tonight, and we joined Bianca and Nora for an exceptionally fun and
scrumptious dinner next door!
It still seems strange that Lisa and Enzo are not living in
that apartment next door, but we adjusted quite well tonight with a lovely
evening there.
Nora and Bianca had prepared pizza rounds to start, and they
were crispy on the outside and savory inside…just perfect! We then had a wholegrain
pasta that was new to us with homemade pesto sauce. It was delicious, but also
very elegantly served in sort of a large triangular pasta pocket with the pesto
inside and out…gorgeous! The salad that followed must have been made just for
me…everything I liked. It had fresh spinach, covered with slivered almonds and
pomegranate. Peter had brought some cheese that paired really well with the
salad, The dressing was a fruity dressing, and I was in heaven! Bianca insisted
that her apple pie for dessert was too sweet. We didn’t argue. We just told her
if she decided to try it again, we would gladly be her taste testers to
compare.
Afterwards, Nora and Bianca were talking to us about an
assignment they have to do with a video presentation, and Peter got his
computer to show them the Scotland stage (field trip) video that Shona made for
his group. They were very impressed, and it seemed like they got some great
ideas they could use when they do their video.
Thanks, Nora and Bianca, for a memorable dinner and visit.
It was well worth the wait. We treasure you as friends and neighbors! Baci! Colleen
