Happy 4th of July!
Monica and I are celebrating today by :
1) Enjoying straciatelle gelato (this is nutella with yummy chocolate on it) on the way back from the laundry at the big store.
2) Buying $800 US RED shoes for Monica at a HUGE DISCOUNT at the street market! (See pictures)
3) Buying an appropriately colored gift for her brother Josh at the store named Atlante! (No picture—it’s a surprise!)
4) Buying red CRANBERRY JUICE (finally found it!) at the Eataly store.
5) Buying gas for the car with my Visa card…that was denied! Che bella! I have a email on it’s way to CUOFGA!
6) Both of us are getting facials and massages at the place in our condo complex (if I can get my Visa card to work!). Monica’s good for hers already, though.
7) Monica will make her famous lemon cake for us to take to dinner at Lisa and Enzo’s tonight.
8) Going to see the progress of Enzo and Lisa’s new house.
9) Enzo and Lisa have invited Electra (niece) and us for pesto pasta dinner tonight. Can’t wait!
10) Peter is on stage (week long field trip) to Abbruzzo, and he is in an olive oil field in the picture. I will meet him on Saturday in Milan and go to our favorite La Traversina B&B for the weekend.
11) Packing for Monica and me to go to Milan airport Sheraton after a lunch at the lake tomorrow. She’s going home on Friday. L
It seemed like this would be the only time I had today to catch up with all of you, so… Happy 4th of July!
