DAD’S GRANOLA AND
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Yesterday, we had a wonderful time at the Exploratorium
while my camera recharged at home. No pictures, but I never go there without
thinking of by brother Gene, the scientist in the family. They had every sort
of experiment for children…and adults…to enjoy.
H&H’s preschool arranged the day, and it couldn’t have been more
fun.
Then, when we returned home, Arne made some granola for ME!
His granola is a special rosemary and almond recipe, and it still is on the top
of my list of all the baked treats that Arne makes while I’m visiting them.
Thanks, Arne!
While he was baking, he and H2 made a few chocolate chip
cookies that we enjoyed on the way to the park to run and play! Hugo’s face
tells the whole story!
Priceless story of the day: At the park, I saw Hugo watching
some older girls have a conversation. Finally I went over to him and asked him
if he had some new girlfriends. The girls were very sweet about his being so
handsome, and they liked having him around.
Later, after we got home, Hugo suddenly said, “Where is my
girlfriend? Not under the table! Not under the pillows, not behind the
bookshelf! Oh, look, there she is”…and he theatrically pointed to me! Now,
that’s true love! Then, I felt really honored when Harldur immediately said,
“Where’s MY girlfriend? There she is”…and pointed to me, too. I’m a happy nonna tonight!
What a lovely day, followed by a night that was a full 11 ½
of peaceful sleep…sort of!
I love my two new boyfriends!
Nonna!
