Monica’s “Sweet Stories!”

Wow! Monica is truly a fast learner. Next time you see her, remember to ask her to come to your house and make some of  “Old Lady Craig’s” famous Southern Buttermilk Biscuits for your guests! She has decided to start baking in people’s homes for their parties as a side fun thing to do. She calls it, “Sweet Stories” because of the great recipes and the stories associated with the recipes that she hopes to share. I was really pleased that she wanted to put “Old Lady Craig’s”  famous Southern Buttermilk Biscuits on her menu. I learned that recipe from the woman who asked to be called “Old Lady Craig,” and I’m sure she would have been thrilled to know I was sharing her recipe and techniques with Monica! Have a great time with them, Monica!

Welcome, Nixons!

Now we have really moved into our new house. Our dear friends the Nixons came to visit, and we made a special effort to get almost all of the things that we needed done…maybe there are still 20 or so boxes in the basement. Hay, that’s progress! Thanks for joining us, Joan and Jim! You are good influences, and we always enjoy our time with you!

Sun in My Belly with Jennifer and Chela!

I could hardly wait for Jennifer and Chela to arrive one day last week. Chela is Jennifer’s aunt and a dear friend of ours, so when we found out that she was going to be in the area, we immediately asked if Jennifer could find a time when we could get together. The great thing that happened was that they came to have lunch with me at Sun in My Belly Cafe while Peter went to Marietta for his weekly “lunch with the boys.” That meant that we planned another get together with the Masseys and Chela for Sunday at their house. Great deal! It was so good to spend such much time with you before you returned to Paris, Chela! We hope to see you again soon! Au revoir!
