Italy Journal

You’ll see pictures of the Police Station in Bra. Don’t
worry! I was just documenting my successful visit to the Police Station to get
a new sticker for the new rental car Peter picked up today. The other one had
to be turned in, and we couldn’t use the same sticker for a different car. My
Italian served me well, and we’re parking legally again now.
Affagato with
Lee-Anne
Lee-Anne insisted that she take me out for affagato to thank
me for editing her thesis. I tried to tell her that she didn’t need to do that,
but she insisted! Thank you so very
much, Lee-Anne. You know how much I love affagato. I was happy to help you out
and even happier to share affagato with you.
Graduation Dinner
Can you imagine? The graduation dinner for Peter’s class was
closed to all except for the graduates themselves. Well, everyone knows that I
am the unofficial student in the group, so Peter got around the rule by getting
permission for me to serve at the dinner. I think I probably had more fun than
the graduates. It was so nice to see everyone, and several of the students had
prepared videos or Power Points to remember the year. Several had tears in
their eyes, but those dried up when their professor Andrea Pieroni started
wildly and enthusiastically dancing in the middle of the circle of dancing
students and staff. It definitely made the evening!
Thanks for allowing me to serve at FC8’s wonderful
Graduation Dinner, UNISG!
