CELEBRATING OUR 7TH
ANNIVERSARY IN DECATUR
Why not? We couldn’t think of any place we’d rather
celebrate our 7th anniversary than Decatur, and Peter the Research
King found the perfect restaurant!
We couldn’t go to Decatur without calling Brandi, and she
met us at Dancing Goats café for a short visit before we went on to our
celebratory lunch! Brandi was interested in our choice to move to Decatur, and
she wondered if we were thinking that we would meet lots of people there that
would like to go on our tours to Italy. Honestly, we hadn’t thought of that
angle, but it does make sense. Thanks for the suggestion, Brandi. If it works
out that way, it certainly will be fine with us!
Brandi caught us up on her family. The girls’ school was
moving to a new location next year, and they were thinking of options they
might have. It seems that 80% of her residency will be done at Grady Hospital
right downtown Atlanta…not that far away, but definitely a challenging drive in
bad traffic. In addition, Richie has started a new business of his own building
BOX HOUSES. I think we will hear more and more about that. He plans to build
very small houses that can be put up easily on vacation lots, etc. Good luck,
Richie. I can see that kind of company doing very well around here, with
mountains, lakes and seaside close by.
We didn’t invite Brandi to join us for our anniversary
lunch, and she understood that. After she left us, we went to 2-4-6, a short
walking distance in Decatur…of course, everything is a short walking distance
in Decatur!! That’s part of the reason we like it so well. Peter and I enjoyed
our meal very much, and we will definitely go back again. I particularly liked
that they would serve half servings of most plates, so I got half of a
scrumptious salad to go with half of a pasta dish. Peter did the same with half
of a pasta dish, half of a sausage balls dish and half of a salad. It was
plenty of food, and very good!
We had such a lovely day, and look forward to many more
years enjoying Decatur together.
I love you, Peter,
Colleen
