Jim and Joan’s Picture Swap

I bet you heard us honoring you last night, Enzo and Lisa!! We went to Joan and Jim’s house for Peter’s wonderful appetizers; Joan’s mushroom, leak and onion risotto and super salad; and Jim’s great grilled lamb, with tiramisu for dessert! Yes, we did add prosecco belini and a red wine along the way. No, we did not starve of hunger from not having enough good food!!! And, we talked about the two of you the whole night, Lisa and Enzo.

Jim had some fantastic pictures of their visit with us in December/January, and we shared Peter’s pictures of our year there, too. We particularly liked remembering all the time we spent with all of us together, especially that splendid New Year’s Eve meal at Lisa and Enzo’s. Needless to say, it was a delightful evening. Their question was, “When are they coming here to see us?”

I got the mail when I returned home, only to find my new camera there. I could have taken pictures tonight! Shucks! It pays to check the mailbox!! I’ll be ready from now on, though.

We have several days of rain to look forward to here. It will be the definitive test for our newly French drained basement! I’m holding my breath that it is shored up now.
