MOTHER’S DAY DELIGHT!
A beautiful, sunny day is a splendid way to start a Mother’s
Day!
Today was a cool day, in so many ways! The weather was
perfect for my sear sucker suit…a little cool, but just right. Everything we
did was way cool…interesting, fun, and perfect!
We went to the late church service, which meant we saw a lot
of people there whom we had not seen since we returned from Italy. That was
very nice. Also, the speaker was a young lady from the church who wanted to let
the congregation know how inspirational and helpful they had been to her while
she was in high school. She’s proud to say that she is now in her first year at
Berry College, where Nick went his first year of college. She received a
well-deserved standing ovation.
Peter and I enjoyed a long walk in the Kennesaw Mtn. Park in
the afternoon and enjoyed getting out and moving in the fresh air and sunshine.
We solve most of the world’s problems on hikes and on long drives in the car,
and I like that.
Dinner at H. Harper Station with Jill, Amanda, Victoria,
Nick, Kyle and Peter was a special Mother’s Day treat. My bellini was
exceptional, and Peter said he would go back for the good drinks, too. It was
great to be with all of our Atlanta children and wives and girlfriends, and I
just loved the unusually incredible vase as a reminder of this day. Victoria’s grandparents had made it, and that
made it even more special. Thanks to all of you for helping me remember how
much fun it is to be your mom!
Vi amo tutti!
Mom
