Moving Day for L&E #2
On my morning walk, I dropped by Lisa’s new house, and she was in an unpacking mood. So, we emptied and put away 5 huge kitchen boxes before the movers returned and needed her supervision. I think she was surprised at how much I COULD do with a broken wrist. I was glad to help with the small kitchen items. I was careful, and it worked out well. In the afternoon, we came back to help until we all dropped, and they came over later for dinner. They enjoyed getting away from the move for a while; and, as usual, we had a marvelous time with our dear friends. When they left, I teased them by saying, “You know, if you lived in this apartment next door, you would already be home. I’ve heard it’s for rent.” I don’t think they appreciated my way of trying to make light of the fact that we will miss them being so close by.
My cast will come off in a week. I call it my "Dolce e Gabbana" look! So far, the comments people have written on it have been...great, like "Io amo italiano, but I love New York!" from Rossella.
Ciao,
Colleen
