Italy Journal, Lisa and Enzo’s Moving Day #1

The moving men were here by 6:30 to start taking Lisa and Enzo’s things to their new house ONLY 10 minutes away walking. The small van was parked in our street and sidewalk, with just enough space for cars to drive by. The forklift reached upward like the rubber band arms of a character in the cartoons. When I went out for a walk in the cooler 8AM weather, Enzo reported that there was nothing to do, in fact he had nothing to do but watch the movers work. Then I went to the new house where Lisa was busy directing the movers about where to put things. The only request either of them had was a pop sicle, which has gotten to be a tradition with us.
The movers will finish tomorrow. Then, we will go and help try to make some sense of all those boxes.
