FESTIVAL DAY IN THE MALGAS

I sent Peter off this morning by himself. He had no way of finding out if the way to the closeby malgas was Colleen-proof… safe and easy for me to walk from the parking lots to the malga buildings. I walked into town and found a prayer station in the apple orchards. It was a beautiful setting, and I enjoyed writing in my journal. A family with a small baby in a buggy and 2 girls…probably 4 and 7…stopped by. The parents had a long conversation while the oldest girl climbed all over the station and the young girl looked around and watched her sister. They spoke with me briefly, too. Finally, the older girl called to her sister and her parents that she had found a lizar under a rock. It was a big deal for them, and the mom said,
‘Brava!” to congratulate her daughter on her sharp eyes.

Soon after the family left, Peter sent me a text to say that he was coming to pick me up in an hour.nHe had been to the Malgas Revo and Cloz and found them to be an easy climb on a gravel road. I was pleased at the invitation.

Both Malgas wew hosting alpine festivals…great food, with scrumptious apple strudel, alpine dress, alpine dancing, and alpine musicians. We had a great time at both places and got all sorts of good info for Peter’s research.

Check out the extra pictures, too…very entertaining.
